The basic rules to Rounders - if like some of us it’s been a while since your school days!
Put in to two teams you will each have a turn to bat and field. With four posts your aim is to strike the ball and run round as many posts as possible without being caught out or being stumped at one of the four posts.
Batters are only able to move round to each post whilst the game is in play. Once the bowler has possession of the ball the batter must keep their hand on the post they are positioned at. No more than one batter at each post at any one time.
Scoring
If a batter strikes the ball and is able to run round to all four posts this is classed as 1 rounder.
If a batter strikes the ball and reaches the second post this is classed as half rounder.
Penalty point deductions are awarded by marshals for foul play and obstruction to fielders.
