Raft Building

The aim of this team building exercise is to get your group along the lake with the aid of a raft which must be built from the materials provided.

Each team must carefully brainstorm the best way to not only build your craft but to ensure it can carry your entire team along the long winding lake. Collect hidden bonus points along the way.

This event is a great time and resource management exercise and promotes leadership, listening skills and trust. Ideal for corporate customers, stag and hens or groups of friends.

Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes & footwear as you may get wet!

How deep is the water as I am not great at swimming?
For safety reasons life jackets are provided for our customers.  Dependant on rainfall the river depth is usually around waist height for the average adult (around 3ft deep).

Is it likely I will end up in the river?
That’s completely down to how well your team construct the raft.  If you work together and carefully plan there is a good chance it will be plain sailing all the way down the river.

Are there showers on site?
As we are an outdoor event centre there are no shower amenities on site at present.  There are fixed toilet and hand washing facilities where you are more than welcome to dry and change into fresh clothing.  Please remember to bring along a change of clothes, footwear and towel for the Raft Building River Run event.
